NFL Week 15 Games To Watch (1)

Leave a Comment / Featured, NFL / By Shane Lang

NFL week 15 starts with a clash of two AFC teams when the 5-8 New York Jets face off against the hot 11-2 Baltimore Ravens. With the Jets having a down year, this match-up isn’t particularly appealing but many other games are. There are only three more weeks left in the season and teams are in desperation mode for a win. There are a lot of races to watch like division races, wild card races, and a great race for the top seeds in both conferences. These next three weeks will be fun to watch and everyone will have their eyes on a lot of games.

Colts vs Saints

The Indianapolis Colts are sitting at 6-7 and not in a great position to make the playoffs. They are two games behind in the division and for a wild card spot. They can still put up a great fight against an 11 win New Orleans Saints team. The Saints are fighting for the top seed or the number two seed in the NFC. Drew Brees had a strong performance last game against the San Francisco 49ers but just fell short. He is looking to build off of that against the strong defense led by Darius Leonard. This will be an interesting game on Monday Night Football.

Bills vs Steelers

Sunday Night Football will feature two teams who currently hold the two wild-card spots in the AFC. The 9-4 Buffalo Bills are coming off of a close loss against Lamar Jackson and the Ravens. The Bills are surprisingly only one game behind the New England Patriots for the AFC East lead, but only a game up for the first wild card spot. There are plenty of teams that are right behind them, so they aren’t in the clear yet. The Pittsburgh Steelers are 8-5 and in a tight race for a wild card birth. Their defense has been their backbone all year and getting Minkah Fitzpatrick from the Miami Dolphins improved the team a lot. With a win, the Steelers could tie Buffalo in the wild-card race but the Bills would certainly love to get to ten wins for the first time in a very long time.

Rams vs Cowboys

This game is huge for both teams. Both the Los Angeles Rams and Dallas Cowboys are fighting for their playoff lives. The Rams are coming off of a huge win against the Seattle Seahawks and have shown that they are very well alive. They are one game back of the Minnesota Vikings for the second wild-card spot. As for the Cowboys, they are in a tight race for the division with the Philadelphia Eagles who are both 6-7. The Cowboys have a harder road than the Eagles so they can’t afford to keep losing. Both teams are looking to show that they have fight left in them with a win.

Texans vs Titans

Both the Houston Texans and Tennessee Titans are tied for first in the AFC South with a record of 8-5. The Texans have the tiebreaker right now but the Titans would be in a great position with a win and would hold the tiebreaker. These two teams play each other two times in three weeks, so this game isn’t the end for the losing team. The team that falls behind also is still in the race for the wild card spot and they could either be tied for the second wild-card spot or be a game behind. The Titans offense under Ryan Tannehill has been very explosive as they go up against a struggling Texans defense. Houston is coming off a bad loss and looks to rebound with a big win.

Bears vs Packers

One of the best rivalries in all of sport takes place at historic Lambeau Field when the 7-6 Chicago Bears take on the 10-3 Green Bay Packers. The Packers pulled out the win in week one but both teams have come a long way since that game. The Bears have fallen behind and are chasing the Vikings for the second wild-card spot while Packers sit at the top of the NFC North and hold the second seed. It will be interesting to see if Mitchell Trubisky can keep up a stretch of good football and if the Packers can get some offense going against this defense. No matter the season or record, we are always in for a treat when the Bears face the Packers.

The Final Drive

If the playoff race isn’t clear enough right now, it will be after this NFL week 15. Teams will likely be eliminated after this week and the playoffs will start to take shape. This is a pivotal week for half the teams in the league. We are in for another great weekend of football as there are only three more weeks of regular season football.
