THE TRUTH LIES
On May 22nd, 2024, the first teaser for Black Ops 6 marketing was released via a website called thetruthlies.
On this website, you are presented with a television that has volume buttons, channel buttons, a power button, a record button, and a pause button. Most of these don’t do anything major, but if you click the record button while on Channel 1 you will download a video titled “the-truth-lies-channel-1-1”. Each channel has a video you can download, but Channel 2-6 gives you a static video that doesn’t show anything.
CHANNEL 3 VIDEO
The Channel 3 video (originally Channel 1) is a POV camcorder video that shows hikers going through the Mount Rushmore Memorial trail. They make their way up to the top where you think they’re going to sleep there, but after they cut to them getting into a blacked-out car, the following shot is of the vandalism of Mount Rushmore with the words “The Truth Lies” spread across the stone faces of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and Theodore Roosevelt.

Following after; Abraham Lincoln’s face is covered with the new Cerberus logo that’s new for Black Ops 6.
CHANNEL 2 VIDEO
The second video released over an hour after the first video on Channel 2 of the TV, and it’s a shorter video than the first one. It’s two men putting up a poster of Mount Rushmore defaced from the previous Channel 1 video.
CHANNEL 6 VIDEO
The same day as the Channel 1 & 2 Videos; thetruthlies website uploaded another video to Channel 6! This changed the original idea that each channel would have a video dedicated to a teaser, now it’s in a specific order!

This video showcased multiple landmarks from across the world being defaced with the slogan “The Truth Lies” or something related to the ideals.
CHANNEL 1 VIDEO
Shortly after the official title reveal of Black Ops 6 on May 23rd, 2024; Channel 1 has been updated to be a channel list with propaganda for the slogan added to it.
BLACK OPS 6 REVEAL EVENT
It’s good to remember that the reveal event for Black Ops 6 will take place after the Xbox Event on June 9th. Mark your calendars!
Warzone also added a Black Ops 6 inspiredEaster Eggallowing players to unlock the Sally blueprint. More teasers could be added to the game ahead of the June 9th reveal.
BLACK OPS 6 PRE ORDER BONUS
It appears one of the pre-order bonuses for Black Ops 6 will be a skin for Frank Woods. Woods was added as a bonus skin in Modern Warfare (2019) for pre-ordering Black Ops Cold War (2020). As of now, no images of the skin have leaked, and this won’t be the ONLY pre-order bonus for Black Ops 6. It’s been speculated that we’ll also see additional bonuses for pre-ordering, which will likely be revealed with the Xbox Showcase event on June 9th.
Windows Central has reported that players can get several weeks of early access to the Zombies mode within Black Ops 6. This would mark the first time a Zombies beta has been offered to fans.
BLACK OPS 6 RELEASE DATE
According to a new report from The Verge, the next Black Ops title from Treyarch is scheduled to release October 25th. Previous Call of Duty titles that released in October include Black Ops 4 (2018) and Modern Warfare (2019). Black Ops 4 got announced in March, followed by a global reveal in May of 2018. If there is a multiplayer beta, early access campaign or even a Zombies beta, then these dates will likely be announced during the Xbox games showcase.
The Wallstreet Journal just reported that Black Ops 6 is expected to launch Day 1 on Xbox Game Pass. Rumors suggest a refresh of current game pass tiers and possibly the addition of a new one to account for the Call of Duty integration. We’ll cover this in a separate article which can be foundhere.
