πŸ”₯ HOW DO YOU AVOID BURNOUT? πŸ”₯ If this is a growing concern for you, here are strategies to consider that could help you maintain balance and thrive in your career:🎢 Listen to Music:Research has shown that music can lower cortisol levels, which is the hormone associated with stress while supporting the release of dopamine, the neurotransmitter connected to pleasure and relaxation. Another study out of the University of Nevada found that listening to music resulted in a notable reduction in anxiety. I like to play ukulele before meetings to get in the zone and it always gives me a big smile πŸ˜€πŸŒŸ Prioritize Self-Care: Make time for activities that recharge you. Whether it’s exercising, reading, meditating, music, or spending time with loved ones, self-care should be a non-negotiable habit that's scheduled into your day, EVERY DAY!πŸ—“οΈ Set Boundaries: Clearly define your work hours and stick to them. Avoid the temptation to check emails or work on tasks during personal time.πŸ’‘ Delegate and Collaborate: If you're approaching burnout, you may need to share more of your responsibilities. Delegating tasks and collaborating with colleagues can reduce your workload and foster a supportive work environment, especially during tough times.πŸ“… Take Breaks: Regular breaks during the workday can significantly improve productivity and reduce stress. Short walks, stretching, or even a few minutes of deep breathing can make a big difference.🏝️ Use Your Vacation Days: Take a vacation day. Taking time off to recharge is crucial for long-term productivity and mental health.🧠 Mindfulness and Reflection: Practicing mindfulness can help you stay present and focused. Reflecting on your day can also provide insights into what’s working and what needs adjustment.🀝 Seek Support: If you’re feeling overwhelmed, reach out to friends, family, or a mental health professional. Sometimes, a listening ear can be incredibly comforting.🎯 Consider the big picture:Sometimes your current situation isn't going to enable healthy habits so you need to consider a larger change like getting a new job that can allow more work-life balance. Please remember that achieving professional success should not come at the expense of your well-being. By implementing these strategies long-term, you can foster a healthier, more balanced approach to work and life.Big love ❀️Brian~- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -- -Hit the πŸ”” on my profile to be notified when I post | Dr. Brian Harman, MBA#Burnout #SelfCare #WorkLifeBalance

🧐 WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE? 🧐The words manager and leader are often not used correctly. But like me, you’ve probably been fascinated by how BAD some bosses can be and GREAT some leaders can be!Great leaders can balance their concern for people and results. That's the beautiful balance between the art and science of business. Great leaders know the difference between management and leadership.A manager motivates you to do things. A leader inspires you to WANT to do things.A manager does things right.A leader does the right things.A manager is efficient.A leader is effective.A manager knows resources.A leader knows vision.A manager organizes, plans, and controls.A leader focuses on strategy and influence.A manager must also be a leader, which is why the job is so hard. But anyone can become a leader.Traits don’t make you a leader. You can learn it. You can learn to lead. And the more passion you have,The faster you’ll learn.Passion is also underrated and it’s a critical ingredient in leadership.WHAT DO YOU THINK?! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -#career #linkedin #leadershipHit the πŸ”” on my profile to be notified when I post | Dr. Brian Harman, MBA

πŸ‘‰πŸΌπŸ‘‰πŸΌπŸ‘‰πŸΌ TRUE OR FALSE? People grow faster than companies. And the higher you go, the less likely that there will be a position waiting for you because companies have fewer C-level roles than VPs, and less VPs than Directors, and so on.The further you are into your career, the harder it is to continue going up.After a while, you have to decide whether you want your career to stagnate or not. That could mean that it's time to leave. Maybe the work is awesome but you’re just not making what you're worth..?Maybe you've been passed up for a promotion?Maybe you didn't get the raise or bonus that was promised? It doesn't have to be that way. Maybe you should validate your career position by getting some new job offers.🀬 OVER 60% OF PEOPLE ARE UNDERPAID 🀬Maybe (1) you didn’t negotiate effectively when you were hired, which is the most important negotiation of your life πŸ‘ΏOr maybe (2) you haven’t negotiated for annual raises or promotions effectively, making your original salary degrade against inflation πŸ‘ΏSometimes when that's the case, it's because people grow faster than companies. To keep growing into new challenges, you may have to land a new job instead.πŸ‘‡πŸΌπŸ‘‡πŸΌπŸ‘‡πŸΌEveryone deserves to get paid what they’re worth.Everyone deserves a career to be proud of.Because when your career is thriving, so are you.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -#jobs #careers #linkedinHit the πŸ”” on my profile to be notified when I post | Dr. Brian Harman, MBA
